3 AprEDPS Opinion on the negotiating mandate of an EU-US agreement on cross-border access to electronic evidence
The European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) released an Opinion on the potential EU-US agreement on facilitating cross-border data access in criminal matters. In his Opinion, the EDPS welcomed the Commission’s Recommendation authorizing the opening of negotiations between the EU and the US on cross-border access to electronic evidence as envisaged by the CLOUD Act.
